About Solstead
Most candles are made to decorate a room. Ours are made for the last hour of the day: something you light to say the day is done.
That hour comes after dinner, after the work is finished, when the evening is finally yours. It’s the only hour we make candles for.
The name
Sol is the sun. Stead is a steady place. Solstead is the sun brought down to a small, steady flame you can sit beside.
How they’re made
Every Solstead candle is hand-poured in small batches in New Hampshire, USA. 100% natural soy wax, a cotton wick, and fragrance you can read about in full on the What’s in a candle page. We keep the range small on purpose. A few scents chosen carefully are easier to pick from than a wall of jars that all sound the same.
What we promise
Plain words. We tell you what is in the candle and we don’t dress it up. If a candle arrives damaged, we replace it free, and you don’t need to send anything back.
Who we are
Solstead is a small independent brand owned by Anika LLC, a Washington State company. Have a question? Email care@thesolstead.com and we’ll reply within 48 hours.
