What's in a Solstead candle
We think you should know what you're burning in your home. So here it is, plainly.
The wax
- 100% natural soy wax, made in the USA from soybeans.
- Plant-based and vegan.
- No paraffin and no fillers. (Paraffin is the petroleum wax most big-brand candles use.)
The wick
- Cotton and paper. Nothing else.
- No lead, no zinc, no metal core.
- Trim it to about a quarter inch before each burn and it will burn evenly for the life of the candle.
The scent
- Blended in the USA from plant oils and the same kind of aroma ingredients used in fine perfume, so it lasts through the whole burn.
- No animal ingredients.
How much scent
- 6% of the candle is fragrance: enough to fill the room you're in without taking over the whole house.
- Full and clear, never heavy. Solstead candles are made for the end of the day, and that balance is on purpose.
The safety label
- A fire-safety label on the bottom of every candle, with burning guidance.
- Meets the ASTM F2058 standard, recommended by the National Candle Association (NCA).
Where it's made
- Hand-poured in small batches in New Hampshire, USA.
